What can I expect...

When I visit this church

"It's a small church, everyone is friendly, I felt I was part of the worship, even though it's an auditorium, I wasn't being entertained."

We want everyone who comes in our doors to find they are closer to God than when they walked in. We are a family where the doors and the people are always open.

"The message made the bible seem real. It was amazing how it spoke to what was going on with me."

The Bible is God's message for living with God today. It is real help for real life issues. We want you take away with you hope and practical help that God can give to each one of us. ...more faq...

What we believe...

About God: There is one God who created and rules the universe. He has existed for eternity and is known in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit--the Blessed Trinity or tri-unity.

About Man: Man was created in the image of God, male and female, and to be like Him reflecting His character. Out of all creation, Man was object of God's love and made us able to choose to return God's love or to turn away and separating ourselves from God, which is called "sin."

About Eternity: God create men and women to exist forever, for eternity with God. Man chooses to be with God for eternity, Heaven, or apart from God, Hell. Union comes through forgiveness and salvation given by God.

About Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit; He is fully God. Jesus lived a sinless life as a human being, and offered His life as the perfect sacrifice for all sin in His death on the cross. Jesus rose from the dead after three days overcoming sin and death, ascending to Heaven, and opening the way for Man to enter eternity with God.

About Salvation: Salvation is God's gift to Man, to be received by each man, woman, or child, not by our good works, or our self-improvement, or our making up for our sin. Only Jesus' offering can remove our sin. Having received forgiveness and salvation we begin to live by faith in Jesus Christ for eternity.

About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. We continue that life of faith daily learning to love through God's grace and power transforming our lives by the operation of the Holy Spirit.

About the Bible: The Bible is the Word of God. This Holy Scripture contains all things necessary to salvation. Written by human authors, but inspired by the Holy Spirit, it the source for Christian belief and living. You can's read in the Bible; if you can't proved it by the Bible; It can't be required for belief. Holy Scripture includes the books of the Old and New Testaments and for instruction the Apocrypha.

About Baptism: Baptism not only is a symbol of our faith, but the effectual grace of God strengthening and confirming our eternal life in Jesus Christ. Grace is increased for who come in faith and regenerated in the only Son of God. It is not by our level of understanding that God acts, but He confirms our faith.

About Communion: Baptism not only is a symbol of our faith. Grace is given as we partake in the Holy Communion, Jesus' sacrament giving us His Body and His Blood. Jesus said, "Take," "Eat," and "Do this!" The reality of His Presence, His Grace received as we faith we come to partake of His divine life.

Participation?

"At the offering, they asked me NOT to put money in. Instead, it was my being with them that was "a special offering."

The offering is for our members to give of themselves. Each of us puts our name on a card to symbolize our lives, where we are today, whatever our desires, our troubles, our joys. We invite you to add your card to be offered to God. If there are special needs in the lives of individuals you know who need our prayers, we have a place to add their names to your card and we will pray specifically for them.

Are kids welcome?

"The kids aren't herded off. We go to worship God together!"

While kids may not pick up on everything, they do pick up that this is the real deal. So we worship together as a whole family of God. We welcome parents to get up and walk around with your children. We hope you'll sit where the kids can see everything that is going on. Don't worry about kids making noise. As parents and grandparents, we love having kids being part of the family.

Benefits?

It's about entering into the presence of God. We want to make an opportunity for you to experience being touched by God. Our message, our music, and our folk are all part of an atmosphere where we meet God in true worship using ancient liturgies of the Church. This is not entertainment. The symbols, language, and even our standing, sitting, and kneeling, all give shape to the mystery of God making himself present with us. We know your first time at church, any church, will bring up questions. Here are some FAQ.

One Church?

Why can't "you" Christians all get together? Don't you believe that Jesus is God's only Son and our Savior? The Diocese of the West and the Reformed Episcopal (RE) Church are integrally working and cooperating with Anglicans in the Common Cause Partnership (CCP), and with Anglican churches throughout the world as historic Anglicanism holds to that which has been believed everywhere, always and by all. And those beliefs are those coming from the Bible; not a peculiar individual reading, but one that is commonly agreed by Christians.

Unfortunately, Jesus words I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by me has yet to enter fully in to our hearts. But the CCP is working to make being one in Christ a reality on the local level. We are the ones needing to conform ourselves to God; so in obedience we actively seek to live out that oneness found in Jesus.
